Shipping Insurance Terms & Conditions

1. General Overview

Shipping insurance provides customers with added protection for their orders in transit. By selecting shipping insurance at checkout, customers agree to the following terms and conditions. If shipping insurance is not selected, the customer assumes responsibility for any potential risks related to the delivery of their order.

2. Shipping Insurance Coverage

  • Shipping insurance covers loss, theft, or damage to products while in transit from our facility to the customer's designated address.
  • If you have provided the incorrect address for delivery, we will do our best to have the parcel redirected to your correct address. However if the address you have provided is incorrect and we cannot redirect the insurance will not cover the loss.
  • Claims for orders with shipping insurance must be submitted within 7 days of the timeframes set out by the delivery company of the expected delivery date. Please note we use Australia Post and sometimes items do get delayed. Tracking is always updated if it is going to be delayed. An investigation will always be launched with Australia Post prior to any claims being fulfilled.

3. Claims Process

  • Insured Orders: In the event of lost, stolen, or damaged items, customers with shipping insurance must contact info@littletreehouselane.comm.au with the order number, photos of damaged goods (if applicable), and any other relevant documentation.
  • Non-Insured Orders: Orders without shipping insurance are not eligible for replacement or refund due to loss, theft, or damage incurred during shipping. By not selecting insurance, the customer acknowledges and accepts this limitation.

4. Claim Resolution

  • For eligible insured claims, we will process a replacement or refund after verifying the claim.
  • Replacements or refunds may take 5-7 days to process after claim verification.
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method or as store credit, depending on the customer’s preference.

5. Exclusions and Limitations

  • Shipping insurance does not cover items reported as lost, stolen, or damaged after they are marked as delivered by the carrier.
  • Shipping insurance only applies to orders within Australia and excludes restricted areas.

6. Refund Policy

  • Shipping insurance fees are non-refundable once the order has been processed, regardless of the order's shipping status.

7. Modification of Terms

  • We reserve the right to update or modify these terms at any time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
